The main point of this page is to be a love letter to comics. From as young as I can remember, I have loved comic superheroes. As a kid I probably watched Spider-Man 3 too many times to count and would always watch Spider-Man and His Amazing Friends & Batman Brave and the Bold constantly. Now that I'm about 10 years older, I've been reading comics for a couple of years and actively buying them since December 2024. Reading this books and experiencing these stories has made me fall even deeper into my love for these characters and worlds. While I am mostly a fan of Marvel and it's world of characters, I also love DC and some indie comics like Rook Exodus and Hornsby & Halo. I really hope to eventually even make my own comics, which I am working on right now but have a little lack of ethic to actually get anything done. I hope to talk about comics weekly on here, with comic news and comic reviews every week. For now though, enjoy the rest of my website, and excelsior!
With a New Year comes new comic news!!!! Now, this week isn't going to have much news about the actual printed comics because I have been kinda lazy and not reading for like a month. But there is plenty of juicy film and television news for this medium. Last month we got the first trailer for Supergirl, releasing June 26th of this year! Now, with how wonderful I found Superman (Review is posted on the Movies tab!), it's without saying that I will be seeing this movie. In the trailer we see more of Milly Alcock as Supergirl, with the first few seconds of the trailer expressing already how different this film will be from Superman. We also finally see our first glimpse of Jason Momoa as Lobo! However it is very dark and like 2 seconds long, but still that is awesome. This month the first three trailers for Avengers Doomsday have been officially released, with the fourth trailer being leaked. Frankly I don't care much for the Captain America and Thor trailer, but what I do care about is the x-Men trailer. In it we have the official return of Ian Mckellan as Magneto and James Marsden as Cyclops. I love the good majority of the X-Men films, quite a lot even, but man do they do Cyclops so bad. Scott Summers may be my favorite member of the X-Men besides my big Russian boy Colossus, and the films really do not show how awesome Cyclops can be and is in the comics. From what we see though it really looks amazing, with Cyclops unleashing his absolute rage VISORLESS! Now onto the long awaited The Batman Part 2 with some very big and exciting news. Sebastian Stan, best known for being the Winter Soldier, is coming to the cast of The Batman Part 2. While I don't think any official source has said so, many many people suspect he is going to be playing iconic Batman villain Two Face in the film. Two Face was last seen in Christopher Nolan's The Dark Knight Rises, which is still maybe the best adaptation of the character to date. Finally, the first trailers for Wonder Man have been releasing and it is looking quite promising to me. I really loved Yahya Abdul-Mateen II for his work on Candyman (2021), and am quite interested in seeing Wonder Man explored and how he plays this character that I frankly do not know anything about. We are still waiting for any real trailers for many comic films, including Lanterns, Clayface, and Spider-Man Brand New Day. I'll write about them when they come out, but for now be good people, and excelsior!
